Working closely with architects and other consultants, Primary Care Trusts and other supporting bodies, ISL Associates Ltd has been involved in a number of healthcare related schemes ranging from new surgeries and health centres to hospital ground improvements. We also have considerable experience in Social Care Development including Retirement Villages, Care Homes and Sheltered Housing, including creation of gardens for dementia patients.

The Practice was commissioned to prepare a Landscape Masterplan for the creation of an extension to an existing development at Cawstone, near Rugby. The key design feature was the opening up of an existing culverted stream to create a strong visual feature and also increase local bio-diversity. Individual native trees, blocks of native planting and wildflower grass areas were introduced to increase local green infrastructure and to incorporate the development into the wider landscape. Individual gardens were created for residents, both private and communal and a play area was included to occupy visiting children.

Brooklands Gardens, Market Harborough 

ISL Associates Ltd produced an overall landscape Masterplan for the redevelopment of this site in central Market Harborough. A long, sinuous footpath as designed to create a visually interesting and stimulating environment for residents, utilising a range of sensory plant types. A central courtyard was designed as a sensory garden with particular attention paid to those suffering with dementia.
